For half a century, the Science Education Council of Ohio (SECO) has been at the forefront of empowering educators, enriching classrooms, and advancing science learning across the state. This year, we proudly celebrate 50 years of leadership, collaboration, and innovation in science education.
Since 1975, SECO has brought together passionate educators dedicated to helping students explore, question, and understand the world around them. Through professional development opportunities, statewide conferences, classroom resources, and a vibrant educator network, SECO has helped shape generations of science learners and leaders.
Our 50th anniversary is not only a milestone—it’s a tribute to the teachers, partners, and communities who have supported and strengthened science education in Ohio. As we honor our past, we also look ahead with enthusiasm to the next era of discovery, equity, and excellence in science teaching.
Join us as we celebrate 50 years of impact—and continue our mission to inspire curiosity, empower educators, and elevate science education for all Ohio students.
