The Science Education Council of Ohio (SECO) respects the privacy of each of its members. 

We will make every reasonable effort to protect the privacy of personal information we receive from our members through this website, mail, email, and phone. Personal information may be received by SECO through membership applications, conference registration, award applications, and grant applications. SECO may use professional information and demographic information to analyze the services we offer our members and for SECO mailings and publications. 

SECO uses the demographic and professional information collected on membership, conference, and other forms for aggregate analysis, to personalize our member records for better service, and to create targeted mailing lists. This information is also included in conference attendee lists supplied to conference exhibitors and other responsible third parties.

In addition to the primary purpose stated or implied at the time the information is collected, we may use your postal mailing address and/or email address to send you information about SECO programs or products, surveys, etc. We provide our conference attendee data (including e-mail address, if supplied) to conference exhibitors. We also make our member data available to companies offering NSTA member benefits. You can opt out of SECO mail at any time by calling 937.760.1771, or emailing SECO at thrivewithseco@gmail.com

If you supply an email address, we use it to confirm your order, follow up on a request, etc., as the context determines. We may also use it to keep you informed about SECO programs and initiatives. On occasion we may use your email address for a purpose indirectly related to the original context (e.g., emailing a customer satisfaction survey to those who have attended an event). SECO does not share email lists with any third parties. You can opt out of SECO email at any time by emailing SECO at thrivewithseco@gmail.com.

While the SECO website may contain links to other websites, SECO is not responsible for the content and privacy policies of those websites.  We encourage you to read the privacy policy of those websites before revealing any personal information on those sites.

Exceptions to this privacy policy would include any valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute or court order.
