"There is an adage that says if you are the smartest person in the room, then you are in the wrong room.  With SECO, I am in the right room when it comes to growing professionally as a science educator. I have learned more than I could have fathomed from the brilliant minds on the council and made incredible friends. If you want to collaborate with the best in science education, SECO is the place to be! " Angella Boyer

"Being a part of SECO has been such a rewarding experience. I love the incredible professional development opportunities—both in-person and through webinars—that keep me inspired and up-to-date as a science educator. SECO brings together a vibrant community of formal and informal educators, and the collaboration and shared passion for science education are truly energizing. It's a place where I can both learn and contribute, and I always walk away with new ideas and connections that strengthen my teaching." Heather Allen

"The people and passion they have for all things Science."  Stephanie Nowak

"Helping science teachers, spreading good ideas and practices, networking." Gene Lynn

"The opportunities I have had to meet and work with outstanding, innovative, and inspirational science educators!" Kristie Reighard

"There are so many things I love about SECO. I would have to say the number one thing I love about SECO are the friendships and relationships. Being a part of a group of like-minded people who love science and science education is incredibly valuable. I come from a small district with only one science teacher per grade level so having an organization and group of friends who I can go to to get feedback and support is incredibly valuable. In fact, if I didn't have them I don't know that I would still be a teacher." Ann Drake

"I love SECO because it brings together innovative ideas, meaningful collaborations, and inspiring professional development opportunities that truly make a difference in the classroom. Whether it’s through engaging conferences, networking with like-minded educators, or accessing high-quality resources, SECO empowers teachers to ignite curiosity and foster a love of science in students across the state."  Vicki Willett

" It was my first professional organization that I joined.Diane Vrobel

"I love that SECO is a community of passionate science educators who uplift and inspire one another. From fresh ideas to hands-on strategies, SECO connects us with the tools and people that make science teaching exciting and meaningful. I am grateful to be part of a network that champions curiosity, collaboration, and innovation in classrooms across Ohio!" Michelle Fleming
