Picture-Perfect STEM 2-Day Summer Institute

When: June 14-15, 2022 Where: Liberty Center in West Chester, OH - Sabin Hall Time: 8:30am - 3:30pm each day Are you a K-5 teacher, instructional coach, media specialist, or administrator who wants to find out how to successfully integrate STEM and literacy? This introductory workshop, led by NSTA Press authors Karen Ansberry and Emily Morgan, will help you build a solid understanding of STEM and literacy integration and the 5E Learning Cycle Model through participation in engaging picture book-inspired lessons, hands-on design challenges, and collaborative learning tasks. You will leave with two books containing 30 STEM lessons and the skills, knowledge, and confidence you need to successfully begin implementing Picture-Perfect STEM Lessons in your own classroom. If you would like to redeliver this workshop in your school or district, you can register for a virtual Train-the-Trainer workshop that will provide an additional 2-hour session with the authors and a training kit with everything you need to facilitate the workshop yourself! The Train-the-Trainer is an additional $350 and will take place on Zoom on July 13, 2022, from 11:00-1:00 ET.
