  • 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Horace R. Collins Laboratory and Core Repository 3307 S. Old State Road Delaware, OH 43015

Due to an overwhelming interest from Ohio teachers, the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program (OOGEEP) is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a special Pilot Geology workshop on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at the ODNR, Division of Geological Survey, Horace R. Collins Laboratory and Core Repository, Delaware, Ohio

After more than a year of collaboration with industry and state geology experts, several colleges and universities, and Ohio teachers, this NEW Geology curriculum is ready!

The curriculum and workshop are designed specifically for middle school and high school geology and earth science teachers. The workshop will connect Ohio's Physical Geology Standards and will include hands-on learning stations. Participating teachers will receive lesson plans, geological maps, digital resources, rock and mineral kits and other classroom supplies. Overnight accommodations will be provided, along with meals throughout the day. This workshop is free to Ohio teachers, but is limited to 30 teachers at this time. CEU documentation will also be provided.

We are very excited to launch this new Geology program, and hope that you will be able to join us.
