Session Proposal Submission: Ohio Science Institute

Registration

  • There is no fee to submit a proposal. Presenters will need to pay the registration fee for the SECO Science Institute to present and attend this event.

Registration is closed

Ohio Science Institute will be held January 25th and 26th in Columbus. Session Proposals will be accepted now through Friday, October 30. Presenters (in any capacity including co-presenters) are limited to submitting 2 session proposals. 

While it is FREE to submit a session proposal, all presenters MUST register and pay the registration fee to attend the conference.

Guidelines for Session Proposals

Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in your proposal(s) being declined.

Pre-service, Active and Retired Teachers/Educators

Active Teachers and Educators are invited to submit up to a maximum of two (2) proposals for consideration. Proposals should focus on the presenter's individual work and not offer any endorsements to specific products or services available on the market.

Nonprofit Organizations or Government Agencies

Nonprofit Organizations and Government Agencies are invited to submit up to a maximum of two (2) proposals for consideration. Proposals should focus on resources that are freely available and do not have any fee attached for participants to be able to fully utilize said resources.

Presentations focused on offering product(s) for sale, paid training or professional learning opportunities, supplements, or additional resources for a fee will need to be submitted as Exhibitor Workshop.

Commercial Organizations

Commercial Organizations are invited to submit  up to a maximum of two (2) proposals via the Exhibitor Workshop option. Two Exhibitor Workshops are guaranteed to be scheduled provided they meet the NSTA Safety Guidelines AND have an exhibit booth for the conference. Commercial organizations without a booth at the conference may still submit up to a maximum of two (2) proposals but are not guaranteed.


Session types/lengths include:

50 minute hands-on workshop or presentation

110 minute hands-on workshop, limited availability

50 or 110 minute Exhibitor Workshops (If any money could potentially be exchanged - now or in the future.)
